Setting Up Outlook 2007 for use with Exchange Server
If your previous mail client was an Outlook Express.
Setting Up Outlook 2003 for use with Exchange Server
1. Click on Start and open Control Panel
2. Doubleclick on Mail icon to open Mail window
3. Delete all the profiles listed in window
4. Click Add to create new profile
5. Type Exchange for the profile name and click OK
6. Check Add a new e-mail account button and click Next
7. Select the Microsoft Exchange Server radio button.
8. Click the Next. The next screen is Exchange Server Settings.
9. In the Microsoft Exchange Server: field, enter exchange2.iemincxch.org
10. Enable the Use Cached Exchange Mode checkbox.
11. In the User Name: field, enter your user name.
12. Click the More Settings... button
a) You may see an error stating there is no connection to the server. Ignore the error and click OK in next window.
13. In the Microsoft Exchange Server window click on Connection tab.
14. Under Exchange over the Internet, ensure the Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP checkbox is enabled.
15. Click on the Exchange Proxy Settings... button. The next screen is Exchange Proxy Settings.
16. In the Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange: field, enter exchange.ieminc.org
17. Enable the On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP and the On slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP checkboxes.
18. Choose Basic Authentication for a Proxy authentication settings
19. Click the OK button.
20. Click the Apply and OK buttons. A dialog box will inform you that you must restart Outlook for these changes to take effect.
21. Click the OK button.
22. Click the Next button. The Congratulations screen will appear.
23. Click the Finish button.
When Outlook connects to the server for the first time it will prompt you for your username and password.
24. In the User name: field, enter iemincxch\username, making sure to include iemincxch\ prior to your username
25. In the Password: field, enter your email password.
26. At the User Name dialog box, enter your preferred full name in the Name: field and your preferred intials in the Initials: field.
27. Click the OK button. The Outlook Inbox will begin to load.

1. Click on Start and open Control Panel
2. Doubleclick on Mail icon to open Mail window

7. Check Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next
8. Select the Microsoft Exchange radio button and click Next
9. In the Microsoft Exchange Server: field, enter exchange2.iemincxch.org
10. Enable the Use Cached Exchange Mode checkbox.
11. In the User Name: field, enter your user name.
12. Click the More Settings... button

Moving your existing messages, calendar and contacts to Exchange Server.
If your previous mail client was an Outlook:
1. Log on to your Outlook
2. Click on File and open Import and Export Wizard
3. Choose Import from another program or file and click Next
4. Select Personal Folder File (.pst) and click Next
5. Click on Browse button and in the Open Personal Folders double-click on the .pst file (most likely the file name will be Outlook).
6. Ensure the Do not import duplicates is checked and click Next
7. Make sure Include subfolders and Import items into the same folder in: Mailbox – YourUserName boxes are checked, and click Finish
Depending on the size of the .pst file the process of moving the data may take from few minutes to several hours. During this process, leave the Outlook running and do not turn of your PC.
If your previous mail client was an Outlook Express:
1. Log on to your Outlook
2. Click on File and open Import and Export Wizard
3. Choose Import Internet Mail and Addresses and click Next
4. Select Outlook Express 4.x, 5.x, 6.x
5. Make sure that Import Mail, ImportAddress book and Import Rules checked and click Next
6. Ensure the Do not import duplicates is checked and click Finish
Depending on the size of the .pst file the process of moving the data may take from few minutes to several hours. During this process, leave the Outlook running and do not turn of your PC.
Accessing Outlook through Internet Explorer.
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. In the address box type https://exchange.ieminc.org/owa and click Enter
3. Add this link to your Favorites
4. Click on File and choose Send Shotcut to Desktop
5. Choose This is a private computer if you on your home PC or This is a public or shared computer if you work on public PC
6. Type your username in E-mail Address box, the password and click Log On
