We have recently renewed our license with AVG.  If you have been seeing a daily message that your AVG is about to expire, you need to download the latest version of the installer and repair your present installation.  To do this, go to http://www.iemsupport.com/avg.html and click the link for the correct download for your school/organization.  You will be asked for a username and password.  If you are an ES, you can find that information on the Passwords tab of your ES Detail screen.  If you are not an ES, IT will provide the username and password to you separately.  If you need this information and do not receive it shortly by email, please request it from hdawson@ieminc.org

  After clicking the appropriate link, if “Run” is an option, click that.  If “Save” is the only option, click Save, then double click to run the installer application after it has fully downloaded.  When the installation Wizard begins, follow through by clicking “Next” and “Accept” as needed like a normal installation.  EXCEPT, when you get to the screen that says Select Setup Type, choose “Repair Installation.”

     

If you did not close all applications before you began the installation, you may also see a screen similar to the following:

     

Simply close out of any applications that you have open.  Save your documents as you close, if necessary.  Once you have closed everything, the list will clear and you can click Next to complete the installation.
